Cardenas, whose mother is Japanese, opened the Lazy Ox Canteen in downtown’s Little Tokyo, which sports many Japanese restaurants. But don’t be fooled; there is little Japanese fare to be found here. Chef Joseph Centeno, with whom I did my first radio show on KNX AM 1070, is at the helm of the kitchen. Read my review, so you can find out what to expect.
