Move the Passion is a special wine event because it takes place in multiple locales, in one night, in New York City. It was like a scavenger hunt of sorts with oenophiles and wine connoisseurs from media and industry alike working their way uptown, downtown and across town with map in hand to restaurants, a special events venue, even an Italian design shop to taste DOCG and DOC wines from the Veneto region in Italy.

Durello, Turbiana, Corvina, Corvinone and Glera were some of the varietals featured this evening. Starting points varied but there were a total of seven venues including Risotteria Melotti, an Italian restaurant specializing in risotto; Astor Center, with a wine shop on the ground floor and an events space above; Arclinea, an architectural and interior design showroom; Giovanni Rana, a rustic Italian restaurant and pasta producer in Chelsea; Maslow 6, a wine bar and exhibition space; specialty truffle maker Urbani Truffles; and Revel, a hopping Italian restaurant with an enclosed garden space.

Each venue placed tasting stations of select wines along with small bites for guests to sample and determine their favorites. At the end of the evening, participants converged at Giovanni Rana and Revel to toast to Veneto with their favorites throughout the evening while sampling an array of tasty Italian fare.
