Hollywood Meets Haute Cuisine at a Much-Anticipated Las Vegas Hotel
Nobu Matsuhisa‘s name graces many fine restaurants from coast to coast, including his flagship restaurants, Matsuhisa in Los Angeles, Nobu New York and Nobu Las Vegas. Now the Japanese chef’s name is going on a Las Vegas hotel. “The idea of a Nobu hotel has always excited me,” says Robert De Niro, an early investor in Nobu’s restaurants.
On a visit hosted by chef Matsuhisa, De Niro stopped in to check on the progress of the 180-room Nobu Hotel Caesars Palace, review furnishings and hand-select design elements. Set to open in the fall within Caesars Palace, the hotel will feature interiors that blend natural materials with Nobu’s “signature Japanese elegance.” Although many details of the hotel are still under wraps, one thing is certain: it will showcase Nobu Restaurant Caesars Palace, a signature restaurant and lounge.
