Truffles are in season in autumn and winter. When the calendar changes to a new year, the black ones populate the market — and they are doing the same at SAAM, chef José Andrés’ private tasting room in The Bazaar at SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills.
For one month, you can indulge in a beautiful 22-course dinner to which I can apply quite a few superlatives: great, inventive, sublime, fabulous, delicate… Basically, it’s an evening to remember. Even if some of the courses are just one bite, I highly recommend you have a very light lunch. Watch the video above for the entire meal, executed by chef de cuisine Holly Lynn Jivin and her team. Each truffle served is foraged from the wooded hills of Abruzzo, Italy. And since foie gras is back, you will enjoy the delicacy in a few dishes. Ready to make your reservations?
Available on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, from January 29th through February 28th, the evening is priced at $275 per guest with wine pairing options available (prices exclude tax and gratuity). Reservations are required and can be made by calling 310-773-5460.
