We’ve been a fan of Stefan’s at L.A. Farm in Santa Monica since its launch almost four years ago. Chef Stefan Richter opened his restaurant after competing on season 5 of “Top Chef,” in which he was a runner-up. Monday night, we had the opportunity to sample his delicious new menu for summer 2013, as chef Stefan mingled with guests and posed for photos.

Guests devoured the tray-passed appetizers and small plates on the enclosed patio lounge, decorated with high-top tables, comfy couches and tables with small fire pits in the center. Live music filled the vibrant space as we snacked on chilled cucumber soup, crab salad with Old Bay and fennel, truffle arancini complemented by an arugula aioli, chateaubriand with truffle mash and béarnaise, house cured salmon and ice cream lollipops made of white chocolate and raspberry (see below for photos). Specialty cocktails were also served: the Employees Only, a martini made with Hendrick’s gin and homemade lavender lime juice, and the S.M.D., a grapefruit vodka martini with St. Germain liqueur and sparkling wine.

The summer menu is now available at Stefan’s at L.A. Farm. For more information, visit
