For the second year in a row, Viking River Cruises became a bona fide Guinness World Record holder. In just a little over 24 hours, Viking christened sixteen of its award-winning Longships — nine were launched in Amsterdam, four in Germany and three in France. The one-of-a-kind ceremony was certified by Guinness World Records as “The Most Ships Inaugurated in One Day by One Company.” Viking also achieved the record in 2013, when the cruise line christened ten new ships in one day. This year will also mark the first year Viking’s Longships will sail in France. A total of four Longships will be arranged on Viking’s itineraries in France, including one ship dedicated specifically to the company’s new “Chateaux, Rivers and Wine” itinerary in Bordeaux. The other three longships will be sailing the popular “Portraits of Southern France” itinerary.   For more information, visit the official website of Viking River Cruises.   Related Content: Viking Longship Freya Viking Longship Kara Viking Longship Vidar Top 10 Cruise Lines: Viking River Cruises Cruise features, news and reviews More Travel News You can click on each picture to enlarge.
