The season opener for the Champ Car World Series returns this year to Long Beach, after having been in Las Vegas last year. More than 200,000 people are expected at this three-day series of races, which includes the Toyota Pro/Celebrity race on April 18, the American Le Mans Series race on April 19 and the Toyota Grand Prix (Champ Car race) on April 20. Racing fans will also have the opportunity to visit the Lifestyle Expo at the Long Beach Convention Center. Over 150 displays will feature the latest in auto, recreation, travel and entertainment products and services, and a new showcase for Green Technology will feature hybrid, electric and bio-diesel cars as well as energy-saving home products.
