Special Olympics World Games 2015
Taking place July 25 to August 2 in Los Angeles, the Special Olympics World Games will be the largest sports and humanitarian event on the planet. More than 6,500 athletes are traveling from 165 countries around the globe to take part in this one-of-a-kind competition. Enjoy performances by Stevie Wonder, Nicole Scherzinger and others during the opening ceremony and even catch a few special celebrity appearances.

Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum
Many know Ronald Reagan as the 40th President of the United States, but before that, he had a successful run as a Hollywood actor, starring in over 50 films. The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum gives the public insight into the former president's life and achievements. Visitors can also witness up close Air Force One — the plane that flew Reagan and six other presidents.

Hammer Museum Exhibits
Expose yourself to some culture at the Hammer Museum this summer. The exhibitions — most of which will be on display through September — present impressive contemporary works. Notable artists showing pieces include Mary Reid Kelley, who will be premiering the final installment in a trilogy of narrative videos based on the Greek myth of the Minotaur, and Joseph Holtzman, whose collection of paintings will include a portrait of author Jane Austen. Other features, including "Perfect Likeness: Photography and Composition," and "The Afghan Carpet Project," explore the boundaries of art in innovative ways.
