Little India

Ethnic Neighborhoods L.A.

The shopping centers in Artesia's Little India play host to some of the most authentic Indian treasures in Los Angeles

A Taste of India in Artesia

In Little India, clustered along Pioneer Boulevard in Artesia, about an hour's drive south of L.A., you can find saris and sitars, Indian restaurants representing every region of the subcontinent and shops selling the ornate 24-karat-gold jewelry preferred in India. Cafés and take-outs feature vegetarian cuisine or meats roasted in the traditional Indian wood-burning clay tandoori oven. Try the vegetarian lunchtime thali at Rajdhani or a malai kulfi dessert at Saffron Spot. Afterwards shop for bindhis and bangles or get your eyebrows threaded.

There are also a number of Indian spice shops, sari stores and eateries in Culver City.
