Thailand Plaza in L.A.'s Thai Town on Hollywood Boulevard

Thai Time in Tinsel Town

The highest concentration of Thai restaurants, markets and shops can be found in L.A.'s East Hollywood, especially along Hollywood Boulevard between Gower and Vermont. Be sure to check out the legendary Palms Thai, which is more Sin City than Tinsel Town. A Thai Elvis impersonator provides entertainment in a packed and hip cafeteria-style ambience to accompany deep-fried trout in mango sauce, quail with mint leaves and spicy venison — and we mean spicy! Or for late night grub, grab take-out from Ganda such as mussaman curry. The same neighborhood strip mall on Hollywood Boulevard that hosts Palms Thai also features Thai Sabai, one of our favorite spots for traditional Thai massage.
