Retrospective
Looks at Singer’s Early Career
Bob
Dylan's American Journey, 1956–1966, the first
comprehensive exhibition devoted to Dylan's early
career, is on display at the Morgan Library &
Museum through Jan. 6, 2007. It examines Dylan’s
transformation over the 10-year period where he morphed
from folk singer to rock-and-roll innovator. On display
are original typed and handwritten lyrics from more
than 90 songs which include "Blowin' in the Wind,"
"It's Alright, Ma," "Masters of War,"
"Ballad in Plain D," and "Gates of
Eden," rarely seen photographs, concert and television
footage, posters and handbills. Viewing and listening
stations also enhance the experience.
When: Through Jan. 6, 2007, Tuesday through Thursday, 10:30
a.m.-5 p.m.; Friday, 10:30 a.m.-9 p.m.; Saturday,
10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m.- 6 p.m; closed
Monday, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's
Day.

Admission: $12
adults; $8 children under 16, seniors 65 and over,
students with current ID; free to members and children
12 and under; free admission on Fridays from 7 p.m.-9
p.m.
