UP THE NIGHT
New York City is alive 24 hours a day, its heartbeat never taking a break. The Transformed by the Light: The New York Night exhibit at the Museum of the City of New York shows visitors how light made the city as vibrant as it is today, and how essential luminosity is in the home, out in the street and at work. Artifacts on display include bulbs from the infamous Rockefeller Tree and a giant neon “i” that once stood guard over Columbus Circle. The exhibit also includes state-of-the-art lighting created by ten contemporary design firms.
