Pouch Pals - the Way to a "Waste-Free" Lunch

Mother of Invention!

After having used tons of plastic baggies and miles of aluminum foil to wrap and transport PB&J sandwiches, we’re happy to have come across the pretty and practical Pouch Pals. These earth-friendly sandwich bags are made with a 100% cotton exterior and lined with a 100% PVC, BPA- and phthalate-free nylon interior—in short: no harmful plastics went into the making of these cool containers. Made by a savvy "mom entrepreneur," they are completely reusable, water resistant, and come in a number of really cool designs. Now we can bag carrot sticks and other snacks and know that their wrappings won’t end up in landfills or the mouths of dolphins!  Not convinced? Here’s a statistic based on the calculations of the makers of pouch pals: A family of four that packs four lunches five days per week uses circa 3,120 baggies a year!

Pouch pals come in two sizes: the sandwich size is about 7" w x 6.5" h ($9) and the snack size is 6" w x 5.5" h ($7).
