Each fall, cities across America fill with revelers donning lederhosen and downing steins of foamy beer in celebration of Oktoberfest. The annual German tradition pops up in towns from Texas to Maine, promising good food, great beer and lots of polka to all who come. Below is a list of great Oktoberfest celebrations nationwide.

2015 Oktoberfest Dates in the USA

Addison, TX — If a trip to Munich isn't feasible, visit the Addison Oktoberfest instead for authentic German polka, beer, brats and other Bavarian delights from 9/17-9/20.

Anaheim, CA — Party at The Phoenix Club in Anaheim, home to the longest running Oktoberfest in Southern California! Every weekend from September 18 to October 31, The Phoenix Club will have live entertainment, Bavarian cuisine and, of course, plenty of German beer to quench your thrist.

Big Bear Lake, CA
— Big Bear Lake, a year-round alpine playground in SoCal's San Bernardino Mountains, hosts the Big Bear Oktoberfest every weekend from 9/12-10/31.

Boston, MA
— Boston may show New World flair these days, but its Old World appeal shines through the city's events, such as the Harpoon Oktoberfest on 10/02 and 10/03.

Cincinnati, OH — This major city in Ohio lifts up steins filled with lager at Oktoberfest-Zinzinnati, which runs from 9/18-9/20.

Denver, CO — Backed by its Western heritage and the Rocky Mountains, Denver is a city with a growing cultural scene — something you can discover through its Oktoberfest happening 9/18-9/20 and 9/25-9/27.

Frankenmuth, MI — Fete all things German in the Harvey Kern Pavilion in Heritage Park on Weiss Street at the Frankenmuth Oktoberfest from 9/17-9/20.

Fredericksburg, TX —Fredericksburg, a small Texas town at the gateway to the Hill Country Wine Trail, reveals a strong German heritage with its Oktoberfest from 10/2-10/4.

Helen, GA — Though Helen is really in Georgia's Appalachians, the tiny village fancies itself as being in the Bavarian Alps and presents an Oktoberfest extravaganza from 9/10-9/13 and 9/17-11/1.

Irondequoit, NY — This beautiful city, a suburb of Rochester, will celebrate its 28th annual Oktoberfest this year for two weekends of German culture, cuisine and music on 9/11-9/12 and 9/18-9/19.

La Crosse, WI — Visit La Crosse for Oktoberfest USA, where everyone can enjoy the Wisconsin autumn with time-honored Bavarian traditions, German beer and live music from 10/1-10/4.

Leavenworth, WA — This charming Washington town, modeled after a Bavarian village, holds the well-attended Leavenworth Oktoberfest on 10/2-10/3, 10/9-10/10, and 10/16-10/17.

Los Angeles, CA — Enjoy traditional food and beers, and live entertainment at the Los Angeles Oktoberfest happening 10/16-10/18.

Los Angeles, CA — Calling all herbivores! Join the Vegan Oktoberfest in LA going on from 10/3-10/4. Pours of more than 50 beers will be available and 30 food vendors will be on site to satisfy your appetite!

Mount Angel, OR — Dancing, harmony yodeling and camping are just a few things you can expect at the Mount Angel Oktoberfest from 9/17-9/20.

Newark, DE — In addition to a parade and plenty of food, a Bavarian dance group and band will perform continuous entertainment at the Delaware Saengerbund Oktoberfest from 9/18-9/20.

New Ulm, MN — Founded by German immigrants, this Minnesota town makes merry at the New Ulm Oktoberfest from 10/2-10/3 & 10/9-10/10.

New York, NY — Celebrate a German-American Oktoberfest at the Steuben Parade on 9/19 and at the Oktoberfest Tent from 10/2-10/12.

San Diego, CA
- Ocean Beach Oktoberfest is from 10/9-10/10. Sip beer by the beach and indulge in wurst-eating, stein-holding and a sausage toss competition. Also: Miss Oktoberfest competition!

San Francisco, CA — San Francisco is home to a colorful blend of spirited attractions and cultures — a quality that shines at the Oktoberfest from 9/25-9/27.

Seattle, WA — Fremont, a lively neighborhood in Seattle, holds an even livelier beer-fueled celebration at the Fremont Oktoberfest from 9/18-9/20.

Soulard, MO — Soulard, a city of the St. Louis Historic District, is host to one of the fastest growing Oktoberfest celebrations in the U.S. The Soulard Oktoberfest will be held the weekend of 10/9-10/11.

Southwest Harbor, ME — Celebrate the tastes and styles of New England with beer, crafts vendors, music and food at Acadia's Oktoberfest in Southwest Harbor on 10/10 and 10/11.

— People from all over Los Angeles flock to Torrance's Alpine Village for its epic Oktoberfest, with events every weekend from 9/11-10/31.

Tulsa, OK
— Credited as the birthplace of Route 66 and once called the "Oil Capital of the World," this city in Oklahoma is also known for the Tulsa Oktoberfest, which runs from 10/22-10/25.
