 A few times a year, Epicure Imports opens its North Hollywood warehouse to the general public, giving them a chance to stock up on gourmet foods and wine at wholesale prices. Home chefs need not be intimidated by this opportunity, as the stock is available for purchase in many sizes---from a single bar of NEWTREE Belgian chocolate to bulk bags of La Parisienne flour. The selection of imported items also includes truffle mushroom products (such as butter, honey and salsa), spices, nuts, oils and vinegars, plus jams, cookies and other confections. A walk-in refrigerated section houses cheese from around the world (with a focus on French and Italian varieties), as well as foie gras, pâtés and charcuterie. While navigating the large aisles, shoppers can even taste a few samples of the wares at tables set up around the warehouse. |
