Milan
Nhow Hotel

Nhow Hotel

Nhow Hotel, located in Milan's desirable Tortona and Navigli district, refers to itself as a "laboratory of trends." The remake of this minimalist yet glamorous hotel, housed in an industrial power plant built in 1935, was overseen by designer Matteo Thun and architect Daneile Beretta. The entire property, with 249 rooms on four floors, enjoys an open-plan style: Floor-to-ceiling curtains, instead of walls, define spaces such as the foyer and bath facilities (offering showers in which the water pours from the ceiling light). The Nhow loft suite, with a private upstairs pool whose glass bottom is the ceiling for the living area beneath, is especially impressive. Of note is the "graffiti" done on all doors by young Milanese artists.

Each room, overlooking the main square, has its own personality with individually styled furnishings, frescoes, wall paintings, original beam ceilings, timber-framed floors and gothic vaults. The hotel's medieval cellars house the Cellar restaurant, prized by guests and locals alike.  It also has its own art gallery, fitness facilities and luxurious spa.
