Rarely is jet-set glamour associated with social responsibility, but Hotel Sezz St. Tropez aims to change that. Sure, it has a Dom Pérignon bar and accommodations (including villas and plunge pool "cocoons") that would have made the Rat Pack proud, but it also focuses its attention on rainwater recycling and energy-saving LED technology so that guests can indulge guilt-free. The hotel was designed to integrate into its natural surroundings, and to that end, its builders managed to preserve nearly every existing tree on the site. CO2-absorbent eucalyptus trees surround the car park area, and extra thick walls for more efficient thermal regulation add to the property's energy-saving efforts. Guests can borrow bikes to pedal to the beach, and then return for dinner at Restaurant Colette, where seasonal produce is sourced from local suppliers.
