We're fans of the trend to repurpose old structures into hotels. Case in point: B2 Boutique Hotel + Spa. This lodging is housed in Zurich's old Hürlimann Brewery, dating back to 1867. The property's original industrial bones have been preserved, much to the benefit of the accommodations and public spaces. Many of the 51 guest rooms and nine suites reside in the brew house, while the hotel's anchor and social hub is the library. It features more than 33,000 books, a wine bar and, naturally, plenty of Hürlimann beer. Of note is the Thermal Bath & Spa on-site. Guests can indulge in the signature Irish-Roman ritual (10 different treatments over the course of two hours), ease sore muscles in thermal baths in century-old underground vaults or marvel at the views from the geometric rooftop pool.
