With just one three-bedroom cottage, complete with a kitchen, two lounges and an outdoor garden area, Beaumont High Country Experience allows you to be master (temporarily) of your own domain. This 18,000-acre high country sheep station is made up mainly of steep hills with some cultivated pasture. It is a family business where farming is a way of life, and guests are invited to take part in horseback musters, which involve herding sheep or cattle. Trail rides include traversing the wilds to historic Flecks Hut, one of the property's original homesteads. Packages offer a variety of ways to customize your stay, from Kiwi barbecues to romantic twilight horseback rides through forest tracks lit by glowworms. The ranch is open to guests each year from November to April.
