If you're looking for a well-rounded getaway, UXU Ranch offers a dose of just about everything on its weekly schedule. For example, you might spend a day exploring Yellowstone National Park, or an evening at the Cody Nite Rodeo. A full riding program with some instruction is complemented by guided fishing, hiking, mountain biking and river rafting. Weekly entertainment includes cookouts, cowboy singing and poetry, and interpretive talks on local flora and fauna by members of the National Forest Service. The rustic cabins were built between the 1890s and 1960s, and the Hollister Cabin was a stagecoach stop in the nearby town of Wapiti before being relocated to the ranch. Foodies will appreciate the western-style cuisine accompanied by a varied international wine list.
