Abella Garden Inn Hotel Review: A short drive inland from Pismo Beach, this inn has garnered a reputation for pleasing even picky people who usually don't prefer to stay in B&Bs. The hospitable innkeeper speaks English, Spanish, and Italian and also welcomes groups, especially for small weddings and elopements. The romantic garden outside has a gazebo, waterfall, stream and small pond. Inside there are just seven rooms and suites. All have air-conditioning, décor that exudes floral country charm, and feather beds with down comforters and fine linens. Each also comes with cable TV, VCRs and DVD players, and there's a library of movies for guests to borrow. Some suites have whirlpool tubs and gas fireplaces, next to which a welcoming snifter of fruit brandy awaits. The most private hideaway is the third-floor Callalily Suite. Continental breakfast is served throughout the week; snacks and tea are available at any time of the day or night. Although pets are not accepted, the owner can arrange for boarding elsewhere.
