Adagio Inn Hotel Review: This three-room bed-and-breakfast is true to its Italian name, which means to slow down. Its opulent décor brings to mind visions of European high society luxuriating on long, leisurely holidays. It is located only two blocks from downtown St. Helena, making it a great jumping-off point for shopping, hot-air ballooning and (of course)visiting the wineries tucked into the hills of Napa Valley. Numerous restaurants are within walking distance. Inside, the residential property is a showcase of brilliant stained glass windows and extravagant nooks displaying rich décor. The Concerto Suite boasts a sitting room, hand-carved wooden bed and antique claw-foot tub, while the Prelude Room features an ornate, cherrywood bedroom suite. The Sonata Room includes a king-size bed, two-person whirlpool tub and walk-in shower. Complimentary full gourmet breakfast on the veranda is included each day. Another perk: plush bathroom robes.
