The American Club Hotel Review: This landmark Tudor-style building was originally constructed to provide lodging for immigrant laborers who came to work at the Kohler Company, producers of plumbing fixtures and fine furnishings. It was named the American Club in the hope that its high standards and patriotic emphasis would instill in its residents a love of their new country. A detailed restoration and renovation in 1981 is behind todays acclaimed resort and conference hotel. The Clubs oak-paneled hallways display antiques, Americana and photographs of the areas earlier days. Distinctively appointed guest rooms showcase state-of-the-art Kohler whirlpool baths. From The Immigrant for elegant gourmet dining to the airy Greenhouse for sweet treats, seven dining establishments offer selections to suit every taste. This property is also home to the renowned golf courses of Blackwolf Run and Whistling Straits.
