Aston at the Maui Banyan Hotel Review: One of the better condominium properties in the South Kihei area, this resort is always sparkling, polished and well-kept. It has a great location: it’s about 35 minutes from Kahului Airport, across the street from several white sand beaches and a short drive from the resort area of Wailea with world-class shopping, spas, golf courses and restaurants. The condominium is very popular with families who are often seen with kids and strollers in tow, walking to nearby shops or headed to the beach. The sunny Kihei setting offers glorious views of the Pacific Ocean and the neighboring islands of Kahoolawe and Molokini. The atmosphere is casual and informal. The complex is fairly large with amenities that include two pools and jetted spas, a tennis court and barbecues, all of which can be crowded during peak summer and winter periods. Accommodations are offered in standard, one-, two- and three-bedroom units and are all done in tropical prints and natural bamboo furnishings. They are comfortably appointed with air conditioning, TVs and telephones. The larger units feature roomy lanais and fully equipped kitchens.
