Belle de Jour Hotel Review: This five-room Sonoma County gem sits on six acres atop a picturesque hilltop overlooking rolling vineyards below. The property revolves around a circa-1873 Italian farmhouse, where a complimentary full breakfast is served each day. Several white cottages are scattered around the landmark property, as well. All accommodations boast fireplaces and satellite television. Many also offer whirlpool tubs. An old-fashioned feeling is enhanced by numerous small details: fresh flowers are provided each day, and linens are hung out on the line to dry in the clean country air. The grounds are immaculate and include many groomed footpaths. Outdoor seating areas and cozy hammocks provide tranquil settings for pure relaxation. When not sampling area wines right on the property, guests can enjoy downtown Healdsburg right down the road or take tasting tours through nearby winegrowing regions. A two-night minimum stay is required on most weekends.
