The Betsy Hotel Review: Following a complete renovation, this Ocean Drive landmark with its impressive colonial façade has become one of the freshest faces in Miami Beach. The Betsy's 63 rooms and suites are private, beachside havens. Behind the white wooden plantation shuttered windows, the contemporary tropical colonial design wraps every guest in exquisite detail with rooms that combine cutting edge technology with the architectural elegance of yesteryear. Guest rooms are outfitted with dark hardwood floors; white lacquered dressers, cabinetry and desks; stately poster beds; and hues in a variety of distinct accent colors. Luxuriant and practical room amenities include Frette linens, audio and video connectivity hubs for laptops, high-speed wireless Internet, iHome docking stations and radios, luxury bath amenities from Malin+Goetz, mini-bars and bath bars, bath mirrors with built-in LCD television screens and Bose sound, and bathrooms clad in Thasos and Carrera marble. At poolside, chilled face towels and frozen fruit are provided to help beat the heat, along with light food and beverage service. For guests who prefer a dip in the Atlantic, beach butlers are at the ready with lounge chairs, towels and umbrellas. The roof deck is ideal for watching the sunset while savoring light refreshments, and there is a spa offering personalized treatments in the lavish solarium. For dining, Laurent Tourondel has introduced an outpost of his iconic modern American steakhouse, BLT Steak.
