The Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers Review: This 1927 original keeps up with the times while maintaining its ties to the style and atmosphere of the early twentieth century. It's a member of Historic Hotels of America, and the massive lobby is impressive and decorated in great detail, with oriental rugs, tons of greenery and stately wooden furniture. The main meeting room was once the hotel library, and the banquet spaces are marvels with chandeliers, velvet curtains and attractive artwork. Balloon curtains, cherry bed frames and neutral bedspreads create a feeling of warmth and luxury in guest rooms. The on-site fitness center is fine for a workout, and you can also access a nearby health club for a full range of services. The selection of house dining is exhaustive: McCormick & Schmick's and the Melting Pot, to name but a few. With its large-scale conveniences (there's a travel agency and pharmacy right in the lobby), this hotel's overall atmosphere is bustling.
