Canyon Villa Inn of Sedona Hotel Review: Purpose-built as a B&B, Canyon Villa Inn boasts magnificent views of Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte and the welcoming feel of a lovely private home. Each of the ten guest rooms opens onto individual patios or balconies surrounded by exuberant gardens and a large, solar heated, saltwater pool. A basket in the well-stocked library holds menus for nearby restaurants. A computer with printer offers guests the opportunity to print boarding passes before they leave and WiFi is available in the rooms. An expansive appetizer buffet is set out at cocktail time, along with ice and buckets for chilling the wine you bring with you. The inn does not serve alcohol. A 7 p.m. dessert treat often includes home-baked brownies or huge chocolate chip cookies, along with decaf coffee and tea. Each morning, timed to accommodate Jeep trips and other activities, a full breakfast is served in a refined dining room. The spread often includes mangoes and blueberries, sausage quiche and the inn’s signature cinnamon rolls (baked daily from scratch). Full concierge service is always helpful, never intrusive. A unique, unplanned bonus is the coyote chorus that sometimes provides a distant early-morning serenade.
