The Churchill Embassy Row Hotel Review

: Sitting on the hill that rises north of Washington's swanky Dupont Circle, this building offers covet-worthy views down onto the nation's capital. But this member of the Historic Hotels of America doesn't rely on this advantage alone to lure guests in, especially after a recent renovation. Little details such as bottled water with your nightly turndown are the kinds of things that keep 'em coming back for more. The interiors mix classic, timeless styles with modern elegance. Rooms and suites are decorated with discretion; for example, mahogany armoires double as entertainment centers. The plush carpeting and luxurious linens are all done in rich, earthy tones, and a restful mood is enhanced by the quiet, slightly-off-the-beaten-path location. The on-site Chartwell Grill serves three meals daily, and also offers room service. In general, the clientele is on the reserved side, although you're likely to see a few kids in the hallways, since children under 12 stay free.
