Delaware Hotel Review: Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this beautiful 19th-century inn offers an old-fashioned atmosphere and a great location in picturesque, downtown Leadville. It was built in 1886 by three brothers, who intended it to be a monument to their home state of Delaware. Originally, it housed retail, office and residential spaces. It is near major ski resorts and surrounded by a national forest. This 36-room hotel is tastefully furnished with Victorian-style antiques. Each of the accommodations has a small private bath, and the suites come with full baths. Numerous dining establishments and antique shops are within walking distance, and Callaway's restaurant is conveniently located in the lobby. A continental breakfast is included with the room rate. The hotel regularly hosts murder mystery weekends and offers summer golf and winter ski packages. Parking is complimentary, and kids under 12 stay free.
