Eagle’s Nest Bed and Breakfast Lodge Hotel Review: Eagle’s Nest Bed and Breakfast Lodge is a cozy, Ponderosa-style cabin resting high in the San Bernardino Mountains close to the lake. This eclectic mountain lodge offers friendly service and a secluded ambience. Here, guests can choose from two accommodation styles: five bed-and-breakfast rooms, located in the main cabin, or five Cottage Suites, housed in two separate log cabin buildings. Rooms are given individual names --- i.e. “Zorro,” “Butch” and “Sundance” --- and equipped with televisions and gas or electric fireplaces. The upstairs rooms have claw-foot bathtubs, and the friendly innkeepers deliver complimentary coffee, tea or hot chocolate half an hour before serving guests a hearty breakfast in the dining room. The Cottage Suites offer more privacy and include such amenities as private whirlpool tubs, ceiling fans, TVs with DVD/VCR players, clock radios, mini-fridges, microwaves and coffeemakers, not to mention grand stone fireplaces (bundles of wood available upon request). Eagle’s Nest doesn’t leave out furry family members either; for a $10 daily fee per animal, guests can bring up to two pets; better yet, they'll be greeted with a “Welcome Basket” containing treats, food and water bowls, a take-home toy, linens to cover the lodge’s sofas and bedding, and a pet towel to dry off wet paws.
