THIS ESTABLISHMENT HAS BECOME WE-KO-PA RESORT & CONFERENCE CENTER Radisson Fort McDowell Resort & Casino Hotel Review: With views of landmark Four Peaks, Red Mountain and the Superstition Mountains, this resort has quickly taken off as a luxury getaway since its opening in 2005. Architectural details found throughout, such as windows that resemble patterns of woven baskets, reflect the culture of the Yavapai Nation, owners and operators of the property. Rooms have complimentary high speed Internet access, coffee makers, mini-bars, refrigerators and weekday newspaper delivery. In addition, patio suites have a second bathroom, a kitchenette, a whirlpool tub and a plasma flat screen TV. There's also a heated pool with a water play area for kids, a fitness center, a spa and a salon, a poolside bar and café and the We-Ko-Pa golf course with two 18-hole layouts provide leisure activities. Anahla Mesquite Room, the fine dining restaurant, depends on fresh ingredients (such as citrus and pecans) from the Fort McDowell Tribal Farms for its inventive menu. For many the big draw is next door at the casino, which provides a complimentary shuttle from the resort. The adjacent conference center has more than 25,000 square feet of meeting space including 16 separate rooms and a grand ballroom.
