The Fairmont San Francisco Hotel Review: San Francisco socialites have long loved the Fairmont, and the Nob Hill legend gained national fame after a several year run as the St. Gregory on the TV series "Hotel". The lobby offers everything one expects from a grand property: gigantic columns and an ornate marble staircase that feels as if it was built for Cinderella's dramatic descent to the prince's ball. Guest rooms in the older section are particularly spacious, while views from the Tower Building are fabulous. Each of the 591 updated rooms offers Frette linens, flat-panel TVs, pillow top beds and Keurig coffee makers. The suites add separate sitting rooms, as well as Nespresso coffee machines, and the signature Golden Gate Suites on floors 12 - 23 of the Tower Building feature marble bathrooms with separate bath and shower, sofa beds in the living room and all the extras of a standard suite, as well as Bose sound systems. Guests have access to Club One at Nob Hill Spa, which includes a fitness center and offers basic body and beauty treatments. The hotel has high-speed and Wi-Fi Internet access, as well as ample meeting space. Three different restaurants round out the facilities, and include the exotic Tonga Room, complete with a tropical rainfall.
