Galleria Park Hotel Review: The predecessor to this 177-room, Financial District boutique property was the landmark Sutter Hotel, which opened its doors in 1911. The current iteration, now operated by Joie de Vivre, masterfully retains the building's original Art Nouveau vision with elements such as a crystal skylight, etched glass and sculpted fireplace in the lobby. Modern additions such as free Wi-Fi Internet access and a half-acre, outdoor mini-park with jogging trail) on the third floor are welcome touches. All rooms boast Frette linens, pillow-top mattresses and flat-screen televisions. Guests are invited to a nightly, fireside wine reception and can participate in a free walking tour of San Francisco architecture.
