Glen-Ella Springs Inn Hotel Review: A popular getaway spot since the late nineteenth century, this inn was carefully restored and infused with contemporary creature comforts by Bobby and Barrie Aycock, who then sold it to current owners Ed and Luci Kivett. More updating ensued. Turns out, the two couples couldn't have been more perfect as custodians of this exceptional seventeen-acre spot, surrounded by the Chattahoochee National Forest, expansive meadows and lush gardens. Rocking chairs on rustic verandas and gourmet dinners complete the picture. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the inn offers sixteen rooms and suites. None provides television, although there is TV in the common area, so bring the many books you have neglected to read and prepare to catch up. There is, though, Wi-Fi. A substantial breakfast in the morning will empower you for the day's activities, whether you choose to hike, fish, horseback ride, visit local wineries or (yes!) distilleries, shop or pursue antiques or crafts. In the evening, Southern and American cuisine flavored with herbs grown on-site brings the day to a close. Ideal for weddings, honeymoons or business meetings in the conference center, the inn presents a unique experience supported by capable and friendly staff.
