HarbourView Inn Hotel Review: Simple can either be stark or strikingly elegant---in the case of this hotel, its the latter. This stately brick building is well-located overlooking a pretty fountain plaza, and as its name suggests, it offers great views of the harbor. Clientele ranges from couples escaping for a romantic weekend (Valentines Day is popular) to business travelers looking for an alternative to corporate fare. From dawn 'til dusk, every aspect of your stay has been taken into account. The signature Silver Service Portside Breakfast can be brought to your room or taken on the rooftop terrace or in the atrium lobby. Snacks and iced tea are served all day, wine and cheese highlight the afternoons, and milk and fresh-baked cookies top off the evenings. While all of the rooms are pretty, the Historic Inn Rooms are particularly notable. They are in a wing dating back to the 1800s and feature brick walls, plantation shutters and whirlpool tubs. Penthouse Rooms have working fireplaces and private balconies with views of the harbor and Waterfront Park. The hotel is within walking distance to the city market and antique row.
