Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs Review: The next time Coachella rolls around, ditch your tent and book a room at the Hard Rock. While the lobby may be filled with music memorabilia, the overall hotel is more class than kitsch, with its custom-designed furnishings and contemporary artwork. There are 163 guest rooms and suites, done in muted shades of plum and taupe. Amenities include Sleep Like a Rock beds, Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, iPhone docking stations, Rock Spa bath amenities and blackout drapes for those guests who put in a long night over craft cocktails at the bar. Some accommodations also come with balconies or terraces, and for those who travel with an entourage, the VIP Rock Star Suite features a lounge area and plug-and-play media hub. "Rock 'n' Roll Chef" Kerry Simon offers his contemporary versions of comfort food classics at Simon Kitchen + Bar. Additional house offerings include the Rock Spa, Body Rock Center for working out, an outdoor pool, a poolside cocktail lounge and meeting and event spaces that range from the pool-view ultra-terrace and the Woodstock Room, which hosts concerts.
