Hilton Charlotte Center City Hotel Review: This state-of-the-art hotel is connected to Wachovia Bank right across the street from the Charlotte Convention Center. It serves business travelers well with a multi-lingual staff, in-house currency exchange, full business center and cellular phone rental service. Conferences and corporate gatherings often fill the multiple meeting spaces. Kosher food is available for events, a rarity for a hotel in Charlotte. Shopping, restaurants and entertainment are all a short stroll away. The 22-story tower was built in 1999, renovated in 2001, and then upgraded again in 2004 to offer enhanced Executive Level Rooms, with extras such as a private lounge, complimentary continental breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres. All rooms are equipped with a large oversized work desk with ergonomic chair, and also wired and wireless Internet access. Hilton's new GuestLink allows you to plug in MP3 players, personal DVD players, digital cameras, and laptop computers to a 42" flat screen television. Family-sized and handicap-adapted accommodations are also available. The Union Grille offers a casual buffet all day long. Along with a fitness room and pool, there is a jogging track on-site.
