Hilton Memphis Hotel Review: The late-modernist style of this 27-story glass tower contrasts the stereotypical look of so many Southern hotels. The interior is not as cutting-edge as the exterior, but it is pleasant. The vast atrium lobby looks as if it is waiting to be filled with hordes of convention-goers. The standard rooms are decorated with earthy tones and deep purple accents, a style that manages to provide a sense of individual personality not usually found in hotels of this ilk. There is an upscale residential look to this property. Enormous windows in many of the rooms take in views of the city. Amenities include all of the basics. The fitness room is good-sized and filled with lots of natural light. The hotel has 11,700 square feet of flexible exhibit space, as well as a business center and event coordinating services. Rook's Corner, a whimsical American bistro, serves a lunch buffet on weekdays, and the Lobby Bar features views of the hotel's sweepingly impressive grounds, as well as 52-inch televisions.
