The Hotel Blue Review

: The Hotel Blue offers a touch of stylish flare in Albuquerque's increasingly cool downtown. In contrast to the several upscale but somewhat predictable business-oriented high-rises in the area, this four-story motel from the 1960s has been given a memorable art-deco look that extends from the several meeting rooms and common areas to the sleek but simple rooms. This may be a budget-oriented option, but you'll find plenty of perks, including phones with voice mail, complimentary Wi-Fi, large work desks (in the rooms with king-size beds) and—in the deluxe business-class rooms—oversized bath towels and morning newspaper. The hotel is along famous Central Avenue (aka "Route 66"), which is lined with lively nightclubs, funky shops and fun cafes. From here you can also walk to historic Old Town in about fifteen to twenty minutes. Rates include not only breakfast but an evening happy hour in the lounge. There's also a pool and fitness center. It's one of the best deals in the city.
