Hotel Gansevoort Hotel Review

: The best views at this hotel are arguably from its rooftop deck. Here, you can admire the historic brick warehouses of the hip Meatpacking District and you don't have to look at the ultra-modern and tragically out-of-place behemoth that is the Gansevoort. This fourteen-story silver-colored building is all luxury on the inside, though, from the moment you step into the club-like lobby 'til you tuck yourself into your comfier-than-usual bed. Touted as the first resort-style hotel in New York City, this lodging offers 186 guest rooms and 23 suites. Many feature bay windows with seating, Juliet balconies and views of the Manhattan skyline and Hudson River. Amenities include flat-screen TVs, high-speed Internet access and 400-thread-count Egyptian cotton linens. Even the closet and bathroom doors glow with cool back-lighting. Another nice touch: each floor displays work by local artists. Exhale Spa has a trio of infinity-edge hydro soaking pools, three private treatment rooms and the Prieto Select hair salon. With its al fresco seating, bi-level design and inventive menu, Toy restaurant appeals to all of the senses.
