Hyatt Union Square Hotel Review: Situated steps away from the heart of SoHo, NoHo and the East and West Villages, this Union Square-based Hyatt offers 178 guest rooms and suites decorated by interior designer Paul Vega. The result: comfort with touches of contemporary refinement in loft-inspired studios, some with terraces, and two presidential suites. A second-floor landscaped terrace called the Sanctuary affords guests a view of Union Square below. The décor is contemporary, with white Formica wall accents against cabinets and panels of stained natural wood. The emphasis is upon attention to the extras, whether it be floor-to-ceiling views of the city or showers built for two. On-site dining includes The Fourth, a brasserie featuring American cuisine, and an espresso bar serving Café Quatrième coffee, pastries and light fare within an airy sun-drenched open space. In addition, Singl Lounge gives guests options no matter the hour or the mood.
