The Inn of Glen Haven Hotel Review

: Just seven miles from Estes Park, the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park, this inn is surrounded by mountain scenery. It attracts couples who enjoy history, antique shopping and the outdoors; because it is a bit formal, it isn’t suitable for small children. There are eight guest rooms---each individually named and decorated. The Charles Dickens Suite is done in dark wood and cut velvet, and it has a canopy bed. For a more feminine atmosphere, stay in the Lillie Langtry Room, decorated in frills, peach and green tones, and tasseled lampshades. The Sherlock Holmes is a quiet space with a brass queen bed, while the Scrooge and Tiny Tim Rooms (the only singles in the inn) share a bath. In the evenings, guests relax in the authentic pub or around the piano in a Victorian parlor. Guests can enjoy dinner in a secret wine cellar, which is entered through a hidden door activated by pulling a specific book on the shelf in the parlor. Locals reserve well ahead for the Old English Twelve Days of Christmas Feasts, offered from December 26 to January 5.
