The Lexington New York City Hotel Review: Equidistant to Rockefeller Center and The United Nations, this property is staffed by a friendly, multilingual group. This comes to good use given the nearby U.N., as well as the throngs of tourists visiting Midtown from all over the world on a daily basis. The 705-room hotel, renovated to the tune of $20 million in early 2007, is popular with U.N. visitors and airline flight crews. The rooms are small, but the pink and green pastels are soothing. Accommodations have large work desks with data ports, two dual-line telephones with voice mail and coffee makers. Some rooms are equipped with high-speed Internet access. For Midtown, the rates are reasonable. Dining and lounge options include Starbuck's, Raffles coffee shop, S. Dynasty and the Mixing Room. An on-site fitness room and business center round out the facilities.
