Lily Creek Lodge Hotel Review

: Only an hour from metro Atlanta's northern arc, the Blue Ridge Mountains and an expanse of forested valley cradle an intimate bed-and-breakfast. Innkeeper Sharon Bacek has operated Lily Creek Lodge since 1996, and she cooks the full hot breakfast (such as egg strata and quiches) that returning guests have come to expect. The inn's colorful gardens provide the peace and serenity needed for holidays and weekend getaways. The setting also makes the inn popular for weddings in its pavilion. Located on the road to Auraria, once the county seat and now a ghost town, the inn offers thirteen themed rooms, such as the Geisha and Antarctica suites. In the latter, you'll sleep on a bed with a mirrored headboard, designed to suggest sleeping on an iceberg. Off the second floor, a deck overlooks the valley, while a third floor suite has its own private deck. Beds are outfitted with feather comforters and pillows, but these may be changed out to accommodate allergies if needed. All accommodations include Internet access. Homemade cookies upon your arrival accompany complimentary wine, hot chocolate and cider. As for how to spend your days: Relax on a rocking chair overlooking the property, unwind in the hot tub or socialize with guests over a game of bocce ball.
