Loews New Orleans Hotel Review

: At first glance, this hotel looks large and bustling, but even though it has nearly 300 rooms, its atmosphere is personal and friendly. A stay on the river side is highly recommended, offering a view of the gentle bend in the Mississippi River that gives the "Crescent City" its nickname. A majority of the rooms are quite large: 126 Grand rooms measure in at 532 square feet, the largest in the city, and come with desks and several comfortable chairs. All accommodations are also equipped with Keurig coffee makers and flat-screen TVs. There are ten corner suites and two significantly larger (1,079 square feet) renovated presidential suites with kitchenettes and dining/conference tables. The lobby features welcoming seating where drinks and snacks can be ordered. Guests enjoy complimentary use of a lap pool, sauna, whirlpool and fitness room. On the same floor, Balance Spa offers a typical menu of relaxation and beauty treatments. The restaurant and bar are run by the famed Commanders Palace Restaurant Group. Café Adelaide is a local favorite, serving contemporary Creole cuisine, and the Swizzle Stick Bar serves fresh, inventive cocktails. Ask about the $.25 martinis at lunchtime.
