Loews Philadelphia Hotel Review: Formerly the headquarters for the Pennsylvania Savings Fund Society, this modernist skyscraper from the 1930s is now a National Historic Landmark. The stylish Art Deco lobby and restaurant attract guests who long for the charms of an earlier era without have to succumb to the sacrifices of said decade. Loews offers a large-scale hotel experience, with a huge indoor fitness center and spa (located on the fifth floor, it comes complete with swimming pool, sauna and a private trainer), along with nearly 600 guest rooms and suites. The rooms offer a feeling of spaciousness with their high ceilings and appeal to business travelers with Internet hook-up, coffee makers and other such conveniences. Some of the rooms also offer Jacuzzi bathtubs. The hotel restaurant and Tellar's Bar offer on-site dining.
