Loews Vanderbilt Hotel Review: Situated across from Vanderbilt University, this hotel is a tribute to Music City, USA. Following a $17 million renovation, this place offers a classy place to stay in Music City. With its stone fireplace and Hank Williams wall mural, the public, great room offers a relaxing vibe, while the guest rooms feature music-themed designs. And since this is a Loews, you get access to all the chain's goodies, like the "did you forget?" closet (need a briefcase or walkman?) and Loews Loves Kids and Pets programs. With their urban look, the 340 guest rooms and fourteen suites would be right at home in New York City. All have CD players with custom CDs featuring songs by celebrity guests, and business amenities include fax machines, high-speed Internet access and work desks. In addition, there are three concierge level floors. Dining includes Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and Mason's, serving Southern brasserie cuisine. Pre-Prohibition cocktails and moonshine are highlights as Mason Bar. For meetings, there's 24,000+ square feet of event space and a kosher banquet kitchen.
