The London West Hollywood Hotel Review: Building on its success with The London NYC, LXR Luxury Resorts & Hotels opened The London West Hollywood. The company took over the aging Bel Age Hotel and transformed it into an all-suite property, complete with rooftop pool and spa, meeting space, and --- most important to "Kitchen Nightmare" fans --- top chef Gordon Ramsay's first West Coast restaurant: Gordon Ramsay at The London West Hollywood. The Boxwood Café, also under Ramsay's jurisdiction, serves more casual fare. The kitchen supplies all the food for the hotel (including room service), so a stay here guarantees an exemplary culinary experience helmed by the rigorous chef extraordinaire. Every suite in the hotel offers expansive views, a private terrace, living room, dining area (for two), wet bar, work space, "tech savvy" connectivity (docking outlets for cell phones, iPods, laptops) and complimentary Internet access. They even include free phone calls to London for up to eight hours a day. For those in the film biz, there is a 110-seat screening room and fully-wired second floor designed to cater to press junkets. And for mere mortals, the hotel features the services of Quintessentially, the "elite global personal concierge service" that promises you access to anything and everything the City of Angels has to offer.
