Lucia Lodge Hotel Review: This romantic spot dates back to the 1930s, when the Harlan family (the same family that owns it today) constructed the property as a peaceful retreat. Today, the lodge boasts ten updated cabins and rooms. Amenities here are scarce; some rooms have a sitting area, but there are no televisions or telephones. Most rooms come with panoramic views of the Pacific. An on-site restaurant offers fireside dining and a large deck from which visitors can watch whale migrations while they eat. The lodge is a short drive from a number of beaches and hikes. It is also close to the town of Lucia and the Hearst Castle in San Simeon.
